Neha: (profusely crying and talking to her friend Sana over the phone) I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I think I am going to suffocate and die.
Sana: Oh my God! What happened? You are scaring me. Why are you crying?
Neha: Can you come over? Please. I need to talk to you.
Sana: Ok. Ok yeah I will be there as fast as I can, but you need to tell me what happened. Should I call the ambulance.
Neha: No. No. Just come over.
Sana: Yeah yeah I am leaving. I will be there soon. Don't worry.
At Neha's apartment
Sana: What happened? Why are you crying?
Neha: (still crying and stuttering) Amit. Amit.
Sana: What happened to him? Is he alright?
Neha: He.. he broke up with me.
Sana: Oh!..... I am sorry. I am really sorry. But why did he do that?
Neha: He doesn't love me anymore. Can you believe that? He just said that. He.. doesn't... love... me... anymore and it's all over, in that one sentence.
Sana: Oh I am really sorry Neha (comes over and hugs her).
Neha: I love him so much. We were together for five years and in one moment just like that it's all over for him.
Sana: It's ok dear. It happens.
Neha: No. No. It doesn't happen like that. It cannot be true. This just feels like a bad dream. I gave everything to this relationship. I made all the sacrifices and one day he just left (Neha starts crying).
Sana: (tries to console Neha) I am sorry, but you can't do anything about it.
Neha: (angry tone) But he broke up with me.
Sana: So why are you crying? Are you crying because you "sacrificed" yourself for him? or because you invested your time and energy on him. Because if you loved him I am sure you wouldn't be crying.
Neha: Uh! What are you saying?
Sana: Amit broke up with you and that's the truth. There is nothing more or less. Why are you basing your relationship on your "sacrifices"? I thought you loved him.
Neha: (calms down) I still do.
Sana: And if he wants to leave this relationship then let him go.
Neha: How can I do that? It hurts.
Sana: Ya I know it hurts and it will for sometime but we've got to bounce back and move on. Love is not based on your conditions nor is a relationship. You can't hold onto it and live in fear that one day you will loose it. If he wants to leave then let him go and don't torture yourself for it.
Neha (sits silently and stares into oblivion)
Sana: Hello??
Neha: Yeah. I need some time by myself.
Sana: Yeah sure. I am always here for you. (smiles and gives Neha a hug)
